Howdy there, festival enthusiasts! Y'all better saddle up and get ready for an unforgettable adventure at this year's Frontier Day festival, where we're taking you on a journey back in time to the old Wild West! And what's a good ol' Wild West adventure without some lip-smacking grub to keep you fueled and satisfied?
Let's mosey on over to the food vendors and see what's cookin' at Frontier Day!
First up, we've got Bigfoot Funnel Cakes. If you're hankering for some sweet, crispy goodness, these folks are flippin' up the most delectable funnel cakes this side of the Mississippi. Whether you like 'em dusted with powdered sugar or plain, Bigfoot Funnel Cakes has got your taste buds covered.
For those of you with a hankerin' for some Southern comfort, Mackey's Catfish Food Truck is your go-to spot. They're fryin' up catfish, chicken bites, shrimp, and an array of sides like fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, fried okra, and fried pickles that'll have you feelin' like you're down on the bayou. And don't forget to save room for their homemade desserts!
If you're in the mood for some good ol' fashioned burgers, head on down to D'Z Burgers. They're servin' up mouthwatering smashed burgers, crispy fries, and ice-cold drinks to wash it all down. You won't want to miss out on this burger bonanza!
Now, let's cool off a bit with Dayton Delights Mobile Shaved Ice. When the sun's a-blazin', there's nothin' like a refreshing snow cone to beat the heat. With a rainbow of flavors to choose from, you'll be chillin' in style.
If you've got a hankerin' for some classic carnival fare, Razzle Dazzle Refreshments has got you covered. From hot dogs to chicken wings, and hand-dipped soft serve ice cream that'll make your taste buds do a happy dance, they've got it all.
For those with a sweet tooth, swing by the Jesus Name Church booth for some ice-cold lemonade and fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth cotton candy. It's a match made in heaven!
And if you're lookin' for something fruity and refreshing, check out The Original Arkansas Smasher. They've got fruit drink chillers that'll quench your thirst and keep you goin' strong throughout the day.
Now, folks, after all that grub, we know it’s about nap time, but why not stay and try your luck at BINGO?
That’s right, BINGO is the name of the game at Frontier Day! Presented by the Plainview AR VFW Fisher Law Post 8525 and Auxiliary, the BINGO tent is where the action’s at. Starting at noon and running until around 3:00 PM, you can join in the fun for just a dollar a game. And the prizes? Well, they're as exciting as the festival itself! Frontier Day t-shirts, Halloween inflatables, fall season three-wick candle holders, Roku TV sticks, twisted X t-shirts, garden gloves, kitchen towels, and so much more are up for grabs. It's a rootin' tootin' good time you won't want to miss!
And, last but absolutely not least, when you need a break from all the excitement, make sure to stop in at the Old Frontier Town Saloon for a shot of sarsaparilla. It's the perfect way to wind down and soak in the authentic old Wild West atmosphere.
So, grab your boots and your appetite, and head on down to Frontier Day on September 23, 2023, from 10 AM to 4 PM for a rip-roaring good time! With a parade, contests, live music, shopping, raffles, silent auction, Kids Corral, delicious food vendors, thrilling BINGO games, and a taste of the Old West at the Old Town Saloon, it's gonna be one festival you won't soon forget. We look forward to seeing you there, Yeehaw!
