Log Sawing Contest
Grab a partner and test your log sawing skills at Frontier Day!​
10 AM to 4 PM

​3 Divisions
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awarded to each division. Men's Division, Women's Division, and Co-ed Division.
​
Winners receive a plaque and braggin' rights for a year!
Men's Division: 1st place - Colton H. Sr. and Colton H. Jr. (1 min 37 sec)
Men's Division: 2nd place - John David Green and Moose Parker (1 min 38 secs)
Women's Division: 1st place - Lisa Brooks and Amanda Horn (2 min 54 secs)
Coed Division: 1st place - Trey Hardman and Amanda Horn (1 min 56 secs)

Bring the whole family dressed in their best western outfit.​

Train Rides
We would like to Thank Yell County Special Services and C & L Barrel Train Express for providing the use of their train this year at Frontier Day and for always being here for us.
​
Kids will be able to ride the train between 10:30 and 3:30.
Dunking Tank
We would like to Thank one of our Sponsors Chickalah Fire Department for providing the use of their dunking tank for Frontier Day this year. Proceeds from the dunking tank go towards the Sharing and Caring Food Pantry of Yell County.
We are also look for dunking tank victims during the festival if anyone is interested in volunteering or more information you can reach out to us via email at plainviewevents@gmail.com.
Carter Cove Bait-N-More
One of our Sponsors Sheila Ferrebee, New Owner of Carter Cove Bait-N-More on Lake Nimrod, has donated a 15 foot Todd Huckabee Signature Series Ghost Crappie Rod for our Raffle at Frontier Day. Proceeds go towards the Two Rivers Backpack program.

Frontier Day Parade
Parade starts at 10 AM.
Entries are to start lining up at the back gate of the City Park around 9 AM and be ready to go by 10 AM.
Frontier Day Food
Burgers, fries, catfish, chicken, and shrimp, oh my! Homemade desserts, funnel cakes, and snow cones. Wow!

Frontier Day Entertainment
Get ready for live music and lots of adult and kid's entertainment. From bingo, mechanical bull rides, and gellyball (like paint ball, only better) to bouncy houses, penny in a haystack, and more, including a live Navajo Indian dance performance.
Shop 'til You Drop
Stop by and say "Hi" to all the vendors who will be joining us at Frontier Day. You'll find quilts, wreaths, homemade sweets, t-shirts, tumblers, earrings, leather and wood artwork, and lots more.
